Queen's AutoDrive is one of two Canadian universities invited to compete in the development of a Level 4 Autonomous Vehicle. Over the next four years, teams will be evaluated at the MCity testing facility from the University of Michigan, as they progress to full autonomy.
Our team aspires to learn as much as we can about autonomous driving with this unique opportunity. We foster an interesting and supportive environment for students to contribute.
The team is made up of five separate divisions or sub-teams.
Responsible for mechanical and electrical systems in the autonomous vehicle.
Responsible for design, implementation, and testing of data collected from a camera and LiDAR sensor suite.
Responsible for integrating the software stack, simulation, and vehicle interface.
Responsible for control and motion planning algorithms in simulation and real life.
Responsible for logistics, outreach, and finances.
